Joyce Marie Blount Respers

Joyce M. Blount Respers: Was born in Maribel North Carolina. She is the daughter of Clarence W. Blount (deceased) and Mattie Jones Blount, and the wife of Billy E. Respers of Vandemere, N. C. for 39 years. From This union, they have 3 adult children, Kristen Joy, Christopher Cornelius, and Dejulo Lamont Respers(deceased) and 8 grandchildren. Dr. Joyce Respers presently resides in Brices Creek Road in New Bern, N.C.

Teacher| Craven County and Pamlico School System

Started August 1976 to May 2018. Instructor in Language Arts and Social Studies for 42 years.

Accomplishments

Apostle Dr. Joyce Respers received salvation under the Ministry of Senior Pastor Dr. Willie Grant in 1977. 

Called into the Ministry in 1981 and Became a bible student in the NDBI. (Nondenominational Bible Institute),1981-1982

Earned Theology degree from Nondenominational Bible Institute of James City North Carolina in 1982. 

Taught English, preparing students to receive their GED while working at Nondenominational Bible Institute for three years.

Taught, trained and mentored students during after school bible club.

Served as youth leader, choir member, prayer leader with cell groups.1979-90

Founder and former Leaders of Family Outreach Word of Deliverance Ministries Incorporated, since 1992 

Apostle Joyce Respers became a member of IAM Ministries in 2014 under the leadership of Apostle, Dr. Alfred Kornegay.

Prophet Dr. Thurman Evans was born on November 21, 1943 in Henderson, NC. Being born into a Christian home, he was moved to serve the Lord at an early age building benches with his father Deacon Johnnie Evans for use in their Home Bible Study/Prayer Meetings. When Prophet Evans was old enough to drive; he would chauffeur his Dad to appointed church duties, while his Dad operated as field worker for the Eastern District. 

Having been found faithful Prophet Evans was appointed Trustee at his home church Morning Star UHC in Henderson, NC. He had such a great love for God’s work that he, his brother Deacon Raymond Evans, cousin Trustee Abraham Hargrove, and their wives put their homes on the line and borrowed money to build a new sanctuary, seeing that the existing one was in desperate need of repair and no longer had sufficient space to seat attending parishioners. 

In 1993 he was ordained a Deacon at Room at the Cross-Holiness Church Henderson, NC in which he and his first wife had started before her going home to be with the Lord. His service there lasted for more than twenty-five years. After his service there he was ordained as a Prophet in the year 2018.

Having a hunger to gain a greater knowledge of God’s Word, Prophet Evans enrolled in Bible Faith Global College and Seminary in 2014 earning a Diploma and continued his quest for knowledge, earning a Bachelor’s degree, and Doctoral degree in Theology by September 14, 2019.

Prophet Thurman Evans was married to the late Pastor Mary Emma Evans for 48 years having four children; Phyllis, Falechia, Alice, and Thurman Jr. He is presently married to Pastor Dr. Carolyn Kennedy Evans inheriting three stepsons, Stacy, Carl and Tracy.
